Social Media Specialist

We're looking for a Social Media Specialist to help elevate our brand's online presence in the Japanese market and engage with our audience across multiple platforms. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing and executing daily social media activities, crafting compelling content, and driving traffic to our website.
You'll play a key part in shaping our brand identity through creative social media strategies, overseeing campaigns, and working closely with internal teams to ensure consistent, engaging communication. Main purpose of job
- Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance the organization's brand presence and engagement across various platforms
- Create, manage, and share compelling content including text, photos, and videos, ensuring alignment with brand voice and tone
- Monitor and analyze social media performance using analytics tools to optimize campaigns and report on key performance indicators
- Engage with users and respond to inquiries, manage customer reviews, and build relationships with industry professionals and influencers
Key tasks
- Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
- Manage and execute our social media campaigns that promotes our organization and brand
- Communicate with users, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
- Oversee visual assets for social media accounts and campaigns
- Monitor, track, analyze and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as YouTube Analytics and Twitter Analytics
- Create actionable plans to both grow and maintain followers through popular social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram and YouTube
- Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone, voice and terminology
- Oversee the creating and implementation of the monthly editorial calendar which includes monthly sales objectives and initiatives
- Lead and facilitate meetings with social media partners
- Define most important social media KPIs
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
- Utilize social media marketing tools such as HootSuite
- Liaise with internal and external designers to ensure the content is informative and appealing
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Product Development teams
- Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
- Dealing directly with colleagues around the business to obtain missing information
Knowledge and experience
- At least 2 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of X, YouTube, Instagram, LINE, TikTok and other social media best practices
- Fluent in Japanese and English (both written and spoken)
- Experience in the entertainment industry is considered an asset
- Great understanding of web traffic metrics
- Excellent communication skills with team, internal stakeholders and customers
- Good organizational skills and an good eye for details
- Good social skills, good listener, empathetic and goal-focused
